Bank holiday weekend in Birmingham. Crowds still on a high after the royal wedding. Union jack flags and Will & Kate ever where you look. Managed to escape the city for a visit to Compton Verney to see a great exhibition on Alfred Wallis and Ben Nicholson , though curiously the high light was a side room full of amazing embroideries and crafts from the sailors of the 1800s.
